The Basics
(Everything you need to
know about raising your pets in an Instant)
Water preparation:
Either buy bottled water or boil some tap water and leave it to cool overnight.
DO NOT POUR BOILING WATER INTO TANK AS IT MAY CRACK
Rinse
out the tank with ordinary tap water
Fill tank with either bottled water or the prepared tap water.
Add Sachet 1 (Sea-Monkeys Water Purifier), stir the water for approx. 2 mins.
DO NOT ADD YOUR INSTANT LIFE EGGS AT THIS POINT.
Wait not less than 24 hours leaving the tank at
normal room temperature (20-25C/72-75F)
VERY IMPORTANT: DO NOT LEAVE FOR MUCH LONGER THAN 24 HOURS
OTHERWISE YOUR SEA-MONKEYS WILL NOT 'HATCH'
Add Sachet 2
(Sea-Monkey Eggs), stir the water for approx. 1 min.
DO NOT ADD ANY FOOD YET (THE INSTANT LIFE EGGS CONTAIN ENOUGH FOOD)
Daily from now on
Aerate the water by either:
Stirring the water gently for 30 seconds.
Pouring the water from the tank to another clean container and back
Using the in-built air pump
Using a million bubble air pump
DAY 5
Ignore what it says in the Official Sea-Monkey
handbook (if you have one) and on the back of the packets.
You
should feed the Sea-Monkeys one small scoop
of Sachet 3
(Sea-Monkeys Growth food).
DAY 7
If you have some,
add one big scoop of sachet 4
(Plasma
II or Plasma III). Add another scoop each week.
DAY 12 and every 7th day from then on (Unless
the water is still cloudy from last week - ie all the food has not been
consumed)
Feed the Sea-Monkeys with Sachet 3
(Sea-Monkeys Growth Food)
OR Banana Treat OR
Red Magic
Vitamins.
for less than 30 Adult Sea-Monkeys use the small scoop, for more than 30
Adult Sea-Monkeys use the large scoop.
The biggest killer of your Sea-Monkey
colony is kindness. Either from overfeeding them or cleaning them
out and a germs getting to them. The
Growth food that you have should last at the very least 9 months. They
are NOT toys, they are living creatures so treat them with respect.
The second biggest killer will be when someone picks up your tank to have
a better view and the water spills out. So be careful.
